FAQ
Here's a list of answers to the questions I'm asked most frequently.

How did you get into pottery?
When I turned 50 I decided I needed a “grown up” hobby (though I still enjoy D&D and Tabletop Wargaming as a spectator!) and started looking around at the possibilities. I took a terrible pottery class but loved it anyways. Then I found a great teacher and was completely hooked. I knew right away I wanted spend my free time turning clay into cool things.

Wait, so you’re a priest and a chaplain too? Yup! I was called to be the Rector (priest in charge) at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Henderson, Kentucky in 2025 and started on July 1st. Before that I served as an Active Duty Army Chaplain for 8 years, and I’m still serving in the Army Reserve.

Where can I see your work?
Well, you found the website, so you’re in the right place! I also keep an email list that I’d love to have you sign up for. There’s no social media to follow though, because social media makes me sad and I’m doing pottery to sooth my soul. You’re also welcome to contact me about visiting the studio and seeing what I’m working on right now.

Do you sell your works?
I do! This is mostly out of self-defense: if you don’t buy my pots I will eventually be buried under stacks and stacks of mugs and bowls.

How do I buy pots from you so you don’t get buried?
I'm still in the early stages of making this a business and working to build up a supply of pots to sell. Sign up for my newsletter and you'll be the first to know when and where to buy some.

Can I hire you to create a custom piece?
Maybe! Commissions for sets or specific pots with specific glazes are a possibility. I’m only limited by my current skill level and time. Let's start with a quick chat so I can learn more about what you are looking for and to confirm my availability.

Do you offer pottery lessons?
Not at this time. Give me a bit to figure this clay stuff out for myself then we can talk.
